Mindy’s earlier litters with King were great successes.  They have developed into confident young dogs with great interest in birds and hunting.  This new batch will be an enjoyable litter to train as they develop into fine gun dogs and great companions.  We have trained several pups from the previous two litters and have been very pleased with the results.

GOOD GO ING KING:

KING is quickly proving himself as a great sire.  He is a smaller male, with a solid build.  We originally acquired him hoping he would cross well with Major’s daughters.  Over the past several years we have evaluated many young males for this purpose and had not found what we were looking for.  King is filling this nitch very well.  He has been bred to a few Major’s daughters and produced very consistent litters.  His pups are healthy, strong performers and have great temperaments.

FOX-C’S TAKE IT TO THE BANK was a competitive trial dog, along with earning a reputation as a strong producer with limited breeding.  He was known for producing trainable pups with strong desire.  BLUEGRASS DUST COMMANDER has over 50 All-Age points and was a finalist in the 1991 National Retriever Championship. WILDERNESS HARLEY TO GO was a finalist in the 1989 National Amateur Retriever Championship and sire of ’93 CNAFC The Shooter, ’94 NFC Ruckus, ’96 NAFC Candlewood’s Bit O Bunny and countless other FC’s.

ESPRIT’S OUT OF THE WOODS is a full brother to FC-AFC Candlewoods Rita Reynolds and FC-AFC Creek Robber (2x High Point Open Dog, 2x High Point Amateur Dog and a finalist in 4 Nationals).  CODE BLUE is a grandson of Super Powder (1982 Outstanding Sire of Field Trial Retrievers), through his sire Code Red.  Blue was a finalist in the 1994 National Retriever Championship and the #4 Open Dog the same year.

EBONSTAR LEAN MAC qualified for the 1993 National Open Championship and was the youngest dog entered.

Maxx was a finalist in the 1997, 1998 and 1999 National Open.  He was a two time winner of the National Amateur, 1995 and 2000 and a finalist 3 other times.  Maxx also captured the Canadian National Amateur in 1998 and 1999.  As of 2006 Maxx sired 8 dogs with 9 National wins.  His influence as a sire is comparable to pass greats like Super Chief and San Joaquin Honcho.

GOOD GO ING MIDNIGHT:

MIDNIGHT “MINDY” has been a great addition to our breeding program.  She is from a very successful breeding of Major and Bette.  Mindy’s desire and talent for hunting have made her an easy dog to train and a great dog to hunt.  Her love of water is an added bonus.  She is a very solid and well built female, picking up physical traits from both of her parents.  She was originally bred with GOOD GO ING KING, producing a very nice litter in early 2007.  This was King’s first litter with a Major daughter.  The results were so impressive we have since repeated that niche several times with other females by Major.

MAJOR was an exciting sire with an equally exciting pedigree.  His litters produced prodigy with sensible personalities, great drive to work and to please and good looks and build.  Major’s breeding includes some of the most sound and influential Labradors in the history of the sport.  You will find Major in most of our current pedigrees.  BETTE is a proven producer.  She has produced standout dogs throughout her litters in the areas of desire, trainability and temperament.  Her past litters with Copper has been very successful and before that, with Major, Copper’s sire.  Bette, herself has a great personality and is a very talented gun dog.  She is a joy to own and work with.

FC HAWKEYE’S MAJOR DAY earned over 30 all-age points in his trial career.  FC LAKERIDGE’S MAGNUM MIKE earned 60 Derby points and an open win before 2 years old.  FC-AFC BLACK GOLD’S KATES RASCAL is a strong performer and producer.  Rascal earned 51 Derby points in the 1986 season and was 8th place over all.

DAVE sired nearly 30 litters, of yellow and black pups.  He is an excellent dog and has proven to be a great sire.  His breeding is exceptional and is made up of the best yellow and black lines in the country.  CROPPER won the ’93 NAFC and was a finalist in both the ’96 NAFC and ’96 NFC.

MICKEY is a very aggressive worker.  She has great endurance and persistence, yet very affectionate.  She is a smaller Labrador and very well built.  Her sire MICK was by RUCKUS and HEIR GO.  RUCKUS was a finalist in the ’92 NFC and won and ’94 NFC.  HEIR GO is a sister to FC-AFC Chena River Tug.  Tug was the 1994 National Derby Champion with 99 points and the #2 point earner in history.  She also earned her FC-AFC titles by 22 months old.

HARLEY produced many great litters for us.  She consistently produced strong retrieving and quartering labs, making her offspring excellent waterfowl and upland dogs.  Harley was a well built, stocky female with a very warm personality.  She is by FC-AFC WILDERNESS HARLEY TO GO and GGI NANCY.  HARLEY was an ’89 Nat. Amt. Finalist and sire of ’93 CNAFC The Shooter, ’94 NFC Candlewoods Raisa Ruckus, ’96 NAFC Candlewood’s Bit O Bunny and countless other FC’s, including FC-AFC Webshire’s Honest Abe (Sire of 1996 National Top Derby Dog and 1998 NFC).  NANCY is one of our original brood females and she produced several nice litters for us and gave us many great dogs to carry on with.  Her name is seen throughout these pedigrees.  She is by NFC-AFC San Joaquin Honcho and FC-AFC Big River Ruffian.
