OUTCAST LIL MISCHIEF “HOLLY” LITTER

We are excited about the addition of Holly to our breeding program.  Both her and Leo are strong natural pointers and have a great natural sense for handling game.  We feel they will complement each other very well and produce a talented litter that will train easily.  All 12 puppies are continuing to do very well and growing at a uniform pace and getting more active each day.  

GOODGOING LEO:

LEO is a very exciting young sire.  He is the ideal dog in many ways.  At a young age he quickly developed into a very natural and intense pointer.  He has tremendous style and is a joy to watch work.  He runs an ideal range for most hunters and is easy to handle.  His willingness to please has made him a joy to train.  Leo is an avid retriever and backs naturally.  He also has an amazing personality.  He is as sensible and friendly as a dog can be.  His first litters are developing very nicely. 

LOUIE has been a great addition to our breeding program. He has a top-flight pedigree, while possessing a warm personality and an easy handling style. His litters are looking very nice in the way of personality and natural ability and it is even more exciting to see how well they are developing into fine young bird dogs.

HAMILTON’S BLUE DIAMOND was named winner of the ’97 Bill Colin Setter S.D. Derby Award and the ’97 Elwin G. Smith S.D. Award. In 1998 he again won the Elwin G. Smith S.D. Award, along with the Top Shooting Dog Award. He has also sired many great setters, including the Smith Setter, 2xCH High Mark.

HICKS RISING SUN won the John S. O’Neall Sr., English Setter Award in 1994 and 1996. His brother CH Skidrow Joe won it in 1993 and his half brother CH Desert Rambler in 1995. HICKS RISING SUN enjoyed a lifetime of winning major trials. It began when he was a year old with many Derby wins and placements, through winning his last Championship at age 10. In 1999 he was inducted into the Field Trial Hall of Fame.  SOUTHWIN MIKE was twice winner of the International Pheasant Championship (1994 and 1995).

DALLAS produced two nice litters for us by Ace and Louie.  She is a sister to 2xCH Houston ’s Belle (Winner of the 2005 Wisconsin Cover Dog Championship and the 2005 Minnesota Grouse Championship).

HOUSTON earned a great reputation as a top flight gundog for his owner Paul Hauge.  He has also proven himself as a producer of top gun dogs and competitive trial dogs, including 2xCH Houston’s Belle and Blue Shaquille.

OUTCAST LIL MISCHIEF “HOLLY” is a talented bird dog, she loves to point and back.  One of her greatest attributes is her honesty around game.  She is also easy handling and a joy to work with.  Recently whelping her third litter, Holly is proving to be quit a producer.  Her pups are making fine gun dogs for their owners.

SPRING GARDEN ROI was a top sire at Jack LaClair’s Spring Garden Kennels for many years.  His breeding includes such outstanding dogs as, CH Stokely’s Diablo Jake, CH Spring Garden Keeper, RU-CH Pat’s Blazer Banjo, CH Pioneer Train Jake and CH Tekoa Mountain Sunrise

GOODGOING WINGS “MIKE” was one of our former sires.  He was a top flight bird dog and produced many nice litters.  He has a strong background in top grouse trial breeding, including his mother, 1986 Grand National Grouse Champion Spring Garden Keeper.  Mike’s litter brother, Grover also won the Grand National Grouse Championship in 1990. 

BLUE CHIEF has had a long career as a competitive grouse trial dog, racking up an impressive list of wins.  BLUE SMOKE “J.R.” had many years of experience in the woods as a guide dog and is a former winner of the Minnesota Grouse Championship.  J.R. is also a litter brother to 4xCH Blue Streak.  She was the nation’s top grouse and woodcock dog in 2001.  These dogs were owned and handled by Jerry Kolter.
