Strongly Bred in the Ryman Gun Dog Line
Picture a crisp fall day with the trees ablaze in color. A hunter and his dog sharing a perfect hunt: solid points, stylish movement and smart retrieves. For many, this picture is only complete with a Classic English Setter.
Our Classic Setters are strongly bred in the Ryman Gun Dog Line that originated in Pennsylvania in the early 1900’s. They are bred to be a close working grouse and woodcock hunter. With their traditional conformation and easy-going hunting style they are a favorite among many in the field. Along with hunting them in our favorite grouse coverts in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, we also enjoy hunting them in the western states. They adapt well to pheasants and prairie grouse.
